Low-level order pickers offer speed
Two new low-level order pickers are designed for first- and second-level picking in high-intensity operations and offer ergonomics, speed and acceleration.
Applications and product manager for counterbalance trucks, Toyota Material Handling UK, Martin Turner, said: "SAS acts as extra eyes and ears for the operator, helping to mitigate the effects of driver error.
Although this system remains unmatched on the market, Toyota refuse to stand still on the issue of truck safety.
We carried out extensive research whilst developing the Tonero and have responded to feedback from our customers".
* Clear view - the instrument panel and overhead guard have been redesigned to give the operator the clearest view when the forks are at ground level, lorry bed height and at maximum height.
In addition the Tonero now has the widest mast channel on the market, said Toyota, significantly improving visibility for the operator.
For busy environments, customers can opt for an additional safety technology package.
The Tonero Safety+ formula offers an advanced travel control system with a load weight indicator and speed limiter to ensure that drivers stay within site driving speeds.
Technology further helps reduce potentially dangerous situations, monitoring speed and acceleration when the Tonero senses a load is at height.
This dynamically limits the forklift's speed, controlling sudden acceleration in order to reduce the risk of load spills.
Every operation has unique requirements so Toyota offers enhancement packages in four key areas of productivity, comfort, safety and durability.
These options allow customers to fine tune their forklift to suit their particular working conditions.
A wide range of application specific options can also be selected, from a simple guard to a complex flame protection system, allowing the truck to be matched to the exact needs of the operation.
