Portable inverters made for MMA, MIG and
TIG
Truly portable, inverter MMA, MIG and DC and AC/DC TIG welding power sources weigh 8-25kg and have a robust, case design which allows all models to be stacked.
Thermadyne launched in Europe a complete range of Thermal Arc ArcMaster Welding Inverters at the EuroBLECH 2006 exhibition in Hannover, Germany The Thermal Arc ArcMaster welding inverter series consists of nine different power supplies in 200A, 300A and 400A ranges

Inverter power sources serve robotic MIG welders
ABB has developed ARCITEC II, a new generation of IGBT inverter power sources designed specifically for the robotic MIG/MAG welding of all materials used in metal fabrication.
Flexible robotic welding cell takes larger pieces
A new modular, flexible robotic arc welding system is designed to accommodate larger workpieces, which can be welded in a fixed position.
These welding inverters are designed for 'stick' (MMA-manual metal arc), DC TIG, AC/DC TIG and one 400A multi process unit for MMA/TIG/MIG applications.
These latest, truly portable, inverter models weigh 8-25kg and have a new, robust, case design which allows all models to be stacked.
Furthermore, all models have microprocessor technology and digital control.
The control panel is fitted with a transparent cover for ultimate protection of the various controls.
All models include a Voltage Reduction Device (VRD) for operator safety when 'stick' (MMA) welding.
The machines have a complete physical separation between the cooling air path and the PC Boards and they have passed a simulated three years metallic dust ingression test.
Other standard features of the TIG models include the following.
* Job Save and Load - stores up to five parameter programs.
* Rapid Pulse Output - full precision pulse parameter control.
* Arc Force Control - allows optimum settings for all STICK applications (including cellulose electrodes ).
* Hot Start - for optimized starting performance.
* Digital LED display - easy to read parameter values are displayed.
All of the nine Thermal Arc welding inverters are covered by a three year Warranty.
