What would you think of a low profile fixture, asks Techni-Grip, that increases your work holding capabilities, reduces excess material requirements and decreases the number of required operations?

What would you think of a low profile fixture, asks Techni-Grip, that increases your work holding capabilities, reduces your excess material requirements and decreases the number of required operations? The vice eliminates loading variables, enables you to run infinite applications on the same fixture, provides a 70%-80% reduction in tooling design requirements, improves your process control capabilities, is available in eleven different configurations for any milling machine or machining centre you may have, and is affordable Our patented design provides numerous advantages over vice-based work holding systems by combining floating dovetail clamp assemblies that pull the material to the face of the fixture, and pin and hole for precise repeatable location

Beyond the locating function, the pins anchor the material in the clamping axis to eliminate the propensity of the material to slide inside the dovetail clamps or rotate common to the clamping axis.

In doing so, we have solved many challenges regarding production efficiency: * standardization of fixturing reducing tooling design requirements.

* reduction of excess material to 0.125in (3.2mm) maximum (to hold any size or type of material).

* holding capacity increases amount of material that can be removed in a given cut.

* eliminates all loading variables for operator error - no parallels, no spreaders, no indicators, nothing to set-up and nothing to dismantle.

* reduces changeover time to as little as 4 minutes from one part configuration to another.

* allows you to run endless part configurations on the same fixture.

* allows you to run multiple parts on one fixture.

* increases dimensional repeatability based on precise, repeatable location and a reduction of distortion from vice pressure (25 ft lbs is the maximum clamping torque for hard materials such as titanium or heat treated steels).

* the best tool on the market to maximize pallet space in a cellular machining centre.

Everything in these assemblies is manufactured in our facility except the springs.

We are presently in the process of putting together a complete catalog of our current production models.

The following information is some data you may be interested in: * the body of the fixture is 6061-t651aluminum, hard anodized to 0.0018/.0020in (0.05mm) thick.

* the dovetail clamp bodies are 15-5 steel, heat treated to 180/200ksi.

* the locating pins are 15-5 steel.

* the locating pins are 0.4984in +/-.00035in diameter, on 1.375in centres (about 12.66mm +/- 0.009mm on 34.93mm centres).

* material preparation is standardised, but may be established in varied configurations * prep material with (2) 0.500in diameters, 0.125in deep (12.7mm diameter by 3.18mm deep) and 30 degree dovetail cuts, also 0.125in (3.18mm) deep.

* as the clamp assy's are floating within a given range of motion, the dovetails need not be held to tight parallelism and can be offset as long as the.500 dia's are in-line.

* diametrical tolerance on the 0.500 (12.7mm) diameters in the stock is contingent upon the dimensional precision required for the given application.

* the stock preparation may be offset in X,Y or Z for cutter accessibility or established in multiple directions on the material.

* the units may also be mounted parallel allowing you to double the clamping platform width by using an extended bolt in the clamp assemblies and locating on (2) diagonal pins.
