Supply chain software is more powerful, quicker
New powerful suite of Web-based applications enables sharing and viewing of manufacturing project and process information across the extended enterprise and supply chain.
Software offers an intuitive planning environment
Process planning software offers process engineers an intuitive planning environment and powerful graphical tools, providing a 3D graphics environment for planning manufacturing processes.
Now, with all our tools integrated around a unique database like the eMPower e-Manufacturing Server, we will be able to standardize, plan and execute projects quickly and accurately," said Bernard Machenaud, CAM/CAPE Manager of EADS Airbus SA.
"The Tecnomatix e-Manufacturing package is the logical step forward for EADS Airbus SA to complete a full digital mock-up.
It will enable EADS Airbus SA engineers to validate the tooling and entire assembly sequence of the plane, define the number of needed operators and optimize the factory layout.
The collaborative work environment that will allow our distributed teams to work concurrently and to communicate manufacturing information - all crucial for succeeding on world markets." EADS Airbus SA will now be able to facilitate communication between its plants and its Product Integrated Development Team through use of Tecnomatix' eM-Work Instructions tool, an integrated component that turns process information into electronic work instructions.
eM-Work Instructions will enable EADS Airbus SA to prepare and share accurate and up-to-date process data with project participants through an Intranet network, thereby creating a truly collaborative work environment.
"The EADS Airbus SA A380 program is one of Europe's most ambitious projects and we are proud to be a partner.
We have been working with the EADS companies for many years and this agreement acknowledges not only our contribution to their past programs but also their confidence in our eMPower solutions and services in helping achieve their goals," said Harel Beit-On, President and CEO, Tecnomatix Technologies.
