Discussing collaborative e-Manufacturing
Harel Beit-On, President and CEO of Tecnomatix Technologies, is a keynote speaker on trends in collaborative e-Manufacturing at Daratech's SUMMIT2001 conference, Boston, U.S.
It will also help our various locations communicate more effectively, allowing our plant engineers and design engineers to collaborate more effectively.
By improving our planning, eMPower will help reduce time-to-market, tools and fixture costs and inventory.
One of our challenges in our NEW (New Electric World) 2004 program is to "Be committed to quality".
This agreement shows how crucial improved quality and productivity are for Schneider Electric.
We are pleased to be able to extend our relationship with Tecnomatix, and expect to receive ever-increasing benefits as we continue to work together." Tecnomatix eMPower solutions will be used in all stages of Schneider Electric's product lifecycle.
For existing lines, they will help optimize resource allocation and simulate product flow.
For new lines, they will also be used in the pre-planning and process definition stages.
"Our eMPower MPM solution will give Schneider Electric better feedback and greater flexibility to respond to changes in its manufacturing strategies," said Harel Beit-On, president and CEO, Tecnomatix Technologies.
"While faster time-to-market is one strategy, in today's competitive marketplace it's not necessarily enough by itself.
Because we give Schneider Electric the opportunity to accelerate both production and planning, we give them more time to respond to changes in the marketplace, and faster reflexes when a response is necessary.
This may mean faster time-to-market, but it could also allow for last-minute retooling or adjustments in manufacturing processes or design to meet unanticipated competitive challenges.".
