Advanced features include the integration with an exclusive vendor part library for automated transfer of manufacturing component data.
Key features of eM-Assembly Expert 2.0 include: * A process-oriented user interface with Internet-ready workflow navigation for implementing customer defined processes and reduced user errors; * Optimisation capabilities that reduce line changeover time by up to 25%, resulting in more throughput capacity and reduced costs; * Integration with a vendor part library that significantly reduces time to program machines; * Support for over 65 CAD parsers and 160 machines to aid the most diverse assembly and test environments; * Common job and library files for easy transfer and job sharing between plants, allowing manufacturers to plan anywhere, build anywhere; * Initiation of a cooperative program with machine vendors to certify eM-Assembly Expert machine program outputs; * Complete process Traceability for improved quality management, financial and material management, and operational performance management.
It aligns manufacturing process planning and production: real-time quality monitoring, material verification and production supervising is compared with the manufacturing process plan to identify discrepancies from an original plan.
It documents quality: complete product genealogy and process information for the assembly of each product.
It meets customer or regulatory reporting requirements for product warranty.
It reduces high labor costs associated with record gathering and retention.
Records are stored electronically, reducing the cost of paper based record retention.
And it provides accurate reporting to minimize and focus searches and recalls for defective products eM-Quality 2.3, an upgrade to its powerful, integrated shop-floor data collection and analysis tool that empowers you to improve yields and reduce defects in real time.
eM-Quality 2.3 provides many new features as well as enhancements to the current eM-Quality functionality such as a dedicated WIP client is now available for locations that do not require other data collection.
You can now specify default serial numbers when defining new lots.
When an engineering change order (ECO) change is made to a box definition, the user can specify the lots to which the change should be applied.
Support for editing a released lot's route, retaining route check information for boards moved to separate lots during an ECO.
Work-in-process (WIP) information is updated to record the board's next location when changing the board's route.
When defining a box product, you can now specify alternate products for a subassembly.
The alternates can include all revisions of the product, or a list of revisions or alternate products.
Build processes for boxes are now defined for a route and a box product (not for each lot).
Thus, a build process can be reused for a new lot.
There is support for EDIF 3.0 and 4.0.
An enhanced all data display can be accessed from both Pareto and SPC reports that can be exported to either notepad or Excel.
There is updated on-line Help.
ECO Notifier provides automatic notification, to the eM-Quality Administration Station, when a new or updated job is saved in Assembly Expert.
ECO Notifier helps the administrator create a new product and lot or helps update an existing product and lot.
