Tecnomatix has announced that German-based Opel will standardize on eMPower solutions to manage body-In-white processes at its Ruesselsheim International Technical Development Center (ITDC).
As part of a move to streamline its planning methodologies, Opel, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors, is adopting GM's North American planning methodologies across its European operations.
The move will bring GM closer to being able to deploy a common BIW process globally, and will enable the ITDC to process any GM vehicle program currently supported by the eMPower BIW solution.
