Creation Technologies Purchases eMPower Execution Systems Products from Tecnomatix Electronics Contract Manufacturer to Improve Process Quality in Execution Systems

Tecnomatix Technologies, Ltd (NASDAQ: TCNO), the driving force in Manufacturing Process Management (MPM) solutions, announced today that Creation Technologies has purchased US$211,000 in licenses and support for eMPower Execution Systems from Tecnomatix Unicam

Creation Technologies will use eMPower Execution Systems solutions for collaborative knowledge management, delivering real-time improvements to factory yields, reducing repair time and enhancing their Six-Sigma capabilities.

With eMPower Execution Systems, they will gain a new method for collecting circuit board assembly and box build failure data, replacing traditional error collection methods that relied on written notes or text keyboard entry.

"Creation Technologies is continually implementing new quality improvement and cost-reduction systems, and Tecnomatix beat out the competition when it came to offering new ways to reduce paperwork and data processing time, increase real-time visibility of our systems, and enhance our ability to quickly respond to any potential or real problems on the shop floor," said Duncan Reed, general manager of Creation Technologies.

"The alarm and automatic report generation mechanisms of eMPower Execution Systems-along with the searchable engineering diagrams for use in inspection, repair and troubleshooting-were the key factors in our decision to go with Tecnomatix over the competition." "In the past, flexibility, quality and efficiency were the driving forces behind a successful Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) provider.

In 2003, we see product life cycles compressed shorter than ever, thus speed becomes an increasingly critical factor," said Israel Levy, CEO of Tecnomatix Unicam, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tecnomatix Technologies.

"The breadth and depth of our eMPower for Electronics solutions, combined with our best-in-class engineering services, help position sophisticated electronics manufacturers like Creation Technologies as industry leaders, and arms them with the tools they need to succeed in today's challenging marketplace.".
