Latest translators keep pace with Catia V5
Theorem Solutions continues to keep pace with Dassault Systemes' latest Catia V5 releases, with strong sales of its CADverters compatible with Catia V5 release 17 and earlier.
Following the competitive analysis, Theorem was selected as the preferred supplier for solutions to transfer CATIA data created within the organisation's design and development departments, into its UGS TeamCenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) application.
The data will subsequently be distributed throughout the TAI enterprise, enabling it to be viewed within the TeamCenter environment.
In addition, it will be made available to engineers engaged in digital mock-up activities using the UGS VisMockup application.
The wide acceptance and implementation of CATIA V4 in long life-cycle aerospace projects means that Turkish Aerospace Industries will continue to work with data in CATIA V4 format for several years to come.
In parallel, it is committed to design many of its current and future projects using CATIA V5.
As a result, the new contract specifies an undisclosed mix of both CATIA V4 and CATIA V5 to JT translators - giving TAI an enterprise-wide ability to create JT files from CATIA, regardless of its version.
Commenting on the new order, Theorem's General Manager, Keith Jeacock said, "We are delighted that our translators have been selected by Turkish Aerospace Industries in the face of such stiff competition.
It demonstrates how Theorem products add real value to engineering enterprises.
It is also an excellent example of how we help customers maximise the value of their investments in different CAD, Data Management, and Digital Mock-up systems.
Through the contract, TAI can make information on CATIA projects available to users across the enterprise, without the risk or additional cost of changing established systems and processes.
"We welcome TAI into our user community, and look forward to supporting it in achieving its business goals.".
