As well as setting up new linear motor production facilities in China, Tecnotion is moving its headquarters and automated manufac turing departments to a new site.

Fuelled by the increasing demand for linear motors, Tecnotion has decided to extend their production facilities with a plant in China.

The 1.500m2 facilities, which will be fully operational in September 2005 are located in Suzhou near Shanghai.

Many of Tecnotion's customers have meanwhile brought their application centres on stream in this area.

As a start Tecnotion is manufacturing parts for their linear motors In Suzhou under Dutch management and guidance.

In order to guarantee the quality of the parts manufactured in China, the auxiliary materials are checked and delivered via Tecnotion's headquarters in Holland.

The director of Tecnotion's Chinese plant, Mr Edwin Emming, is well at home in China, where he has earlier contributed to the development of glass fibre cable-production facilities.

* New facilities in the Netherlands - in October of this year Tecnotion will move their headquarters and highly automated manufacturing departments to a newly built location in Almelo, the Netherlands.

Marketing, logistics, sales, customer services and product development remain the responsibility of the Dutch staff.

As usual they will analyse the customers' requirements and engage Tecnotion's engineers who are fully prepared to use their motor know-how and experience in the development of customer specific solutions.

Tecnotion's Dutch competence centre offers the right environment to turn ideas into flawlessly functioning linear motors.

* Combined strengths - with the combination of European and Chinese production facilities Tecnotion offers an attractive solution to customers in Europe and the US who are seeking local sourcing in China.

It also enables Tecnotion to meet the continuously growing demand for standard and customized linear motors from the leading electronics corporations who are moving the production of their high-end electronics and semicon products to China and Korea.

The first reactions from European and American customers show appreciation.

They recognise the benefits arising from Tecnotion's combined European and Chinese strengths.
