New generation digital phosphor oscilloscopes
Tektronix has announced the availability of the DPO4000 Digital Phosphor Oscilloscopes (DPOs), a portable series of models developed upon a new generation platform.
The 15 award categories are designed to identify and reward innovation in 9 industry sectors.
A further 6 awards will recognise best practice across all engineering disciplines.
"Innovation is about creating and implementing effective ideas that achieve either organisational or market needs - and the faster they are implemented the better," said Alice Rawsthorne of the Design Museum and Chairwoman of the judging panel.

Digital phosphor oscilloscopes
Tektronix has announced the introduction of new DPO7000 Digital Phosphor Oscilloscopes (DPOs).
"All the finalists and winners demonstrate engineering innovation at its best." "Recognition by Europe's largest professional engineering society acknowledges our success in meeting customer needs for tools that enable their leading-edge development," said Colin Shepard, Vice President, Performance Oscilloscopes, Tektronix "The combination of the TDS6000C oscilloscopes and the Z-Active P7313 low-loading probe provides customers with uncompromised performance; the fastest, most capable, and most complete design and test instrumentation giving engineers working on high-speed serial data applications a superior solution in every way." The TDS6000C family of real-time oscilloscopes includes the 12 GHz TDS6124C and the 15 GHz TDS6154C - the world's fastest real-time oscilloscope.
Along with the P7313 Z-Active low-loading probe, these products offer uncompromised performance for the most demanding of ultra-high-speed applications.
Based on leading-edge, third-generation silicon germanium (SiGe) integrated circuits developed in partnership with IBM, the new oscilloscopes offer the highest bandwidth, longest record length and timing resolution, lowest noise floor, and the most complete analysis capabilities for current and emerging serial data standards.
Entries were invited from the IEE membership and beyond for projects that have taken place over the last 12 months.
Award category judging panels, composed of industry leading figures, have selected the finalists and will go on to identify the category winners.
These winners will be announced at an Awards Presentation event and dinner at the IEE's London Headquarters on the 14th September, 2005. Request free introductory details about products from Tektronix ...
