The world's first portable radiometric camera gives completely wireless, spread spectrum infrared image, vision and data transfer directly from job site to desk top and beyond.

Thermoteknix Systems unveil its full featured range of VisIR infrared cameras This includes the world's first portable radiometric camera that gives completely wireless, spread spectrum infrared image, vision and data transfer directly from job site to desk top and beyond

The VisIR range of infrared cameras is designed for a wide range of applications, from predictive maintenance to scientific imaging and process automation.

Based on the latest uncooled microbolometer technology, VisIR cameras are the lightest in their class with full radiometric imaging; built in visual camera, voice, DayBrite display touch screen and a wide range of specialist software and interfacing options.

In a technology alliance with US innovator Indigo Systems, Thermoteknix have developed the VisIR fully radiometric camera range based on Indigo's miniature Omega microbolometer infrared sensor engines.

Weighing in at a mere 3 lbs, VisIR cameras are as easy on the hand as they are on the eye.

Thermal sensitivity down to 85mK, standard temperature ranges from -50 to 500 degC, 2% or +/-2 degC accuracy and a choice of lenses and detectors offer unlimited flexibility and performance for real time infrared imaging and accurate temperature measurement in the field or lab.

VisIR cameras incorporate a backlit 4in TFT touch screen with DayBrite easy viewing display for indoors and out, even in bright sunlight.

An advance on traditional multi-button operation, the entire viewing area of the screen is used for picture and menu navigation.

VisIR touch screen operation simplifies and speeds the Operator experience.

A multi-function joystick with integral selector provides electronic focus, continuous electronic zoom and navigation facilities for those situations where One Handed field operation is essential.

Temperature problems are immediately detected with VisIR's infrared and simultaneous full colour vision display.

Operators can even switch to overlay live infrared images directly onto the visual camera pictures to see faults directly on the equipment under inspection.

No more guess work trying to match those coloured wires to hotspots with this unique VisIR industry first! No wires, no cables, no physical connection.

Forget firewire and up-close IrDA ports.

In another industry first, VisAIR models are entirely wireless and incorporate spread spectrum secure communication Wi-Fi technology to transfer or store thermal and visual images, sound and data from VisIR to VisIR or from a VisIR in the field directly to desk PCs at a range of up to 500m (1600ft).

Operators in the field can now beam thermal and visual pictures directly from job site to desk top for instant fault diagnosis or ready for reporting, without the need to interrupt their inspection route or even transfer the camera images.

Instantaneous temperature problem detection has never been more accurate or at such a high speed.

Encrypted for added security, the VisIR broadband IEEE 802.11b wireless gateway ensures that long distance communications are secure across the entire network.

: Extra high thermal sensitivity allows operators to instantly recognize problems or irregularities using the simplest of automated camera functions such as direct access drop-down menus, multi-function integral action joystick, and three smart buttons for true single-handed operation.

Using familiar jpeg image storage, operators can recall, analyze, archive and share all findings on the spot.

Removable SD or PCMICA cards store up to 500 real time visual and infrared images.

Fully radiometric with an image update rate of 30 frames per second on its colour 'DayBrite active 4in TFT screen, this VisIR infrared camera also has user configurable buttons to suit the needs of the individual operator.

Despite achieving "lightest weight in its class" status, the VisIR series can even record and store operator voice text commentary and playback with each image.

Sound bites can be stored with images and played within the camera or on a PC at report writing time.

Robust and ergonomically designed with a cast aluminium case, VisIR is engineered to withstand tough conditions and meets the IP54 industrial rating for dust and water protection.

Thermoteknix offer VisIR PC software that emulates camera functions with each camera model.

A range of custom and off the shelf software packages for Predictive Maintenance, Scientific Research and Development and On Line Inspection applications are also available.

The VisIR series use high performance, long life Li-Ion batteries for four hours of uninterrupted reliable use on single charge.

Fully rechargeable and replaceable, batteries are easily exchangeable in the field.

Manufactured to adapt to individual and company needs, VisIR models are easily and fully upgradeable for functionality, added hardware features and software accessories.

All models have industry standard USB and IrDA communications interfaces with optional blue tooth module.

Wireless VisAIR transmission, digital on-line real time connections, eyepiece viewer and separate handset displays are available on some models.

For both new and experienced thermographers, VisIR is a clear winner.

Thermography with the VisIR range has entered a new realm of infrared technology, design, quality and engineering.

The new VisIR series from Thermoteknix - More than just an image.
