THK has officially announced BSL as the national distributor of its linear motion products in the UK.

THK has officially announced BSL as the national distributor of its linear motion products in the UK.

The world's leading developer of linear motion technology has granted the lucrative deal in order both to develop its distribution network and, perhaps more importantly, to offer end-users an even better level of service support.

To ensure that BSL outlets throughout the UK have access to the most up-to-date product information, THK has established a team of distributor sales engineers (DSEs) who will provide support and training for both BSL staff and end-users.

Bob Hughes, THK's Business Development Manager, explains that, "We need a partner who has national coverage and the capability to distribute our products to customers in all market sectors.

BSL meets those criteria, while its sales staff already have a good understanding of linear motion technology; our DSE team will add to this expertise, bringing specific product and applications knowledge, to ensure that customers reap genuine benefits from this partnership." BSL has over 100 strategically located sales branches throughout the country, from where the company provides technical support and product expertise.

These outlets will stock a range of THK's products including the HSR and SR retained-ball LM systems and SSR and SHS caged-ball products.

After supplying THK's LM guides for nearly three years, Chris Davies, BSL's Commercial Manager is looking forward to stocking an even wider range of THK products than has previously been the case.

"We've supplied THK products for a number of years, so we know that high quality comes as standard.

Our role as the national distributor of THK products is one that we relish because it means our customers will have an even broader range of products to choose from plus a much higher level of dedicated technical and applications support." He continues, "Over the last few months we have run a dedicated 'Linear Campaign', focussing all our branches across the country on the sale of linear motion products.

The results have been quite outstanding, with a significant increase in order volumes.

It has also provided our staff with the ideal opportunity to really get to grips with the benefits of the THK range.".
