Compressed air moisture problems tackled
UK compressed air system supplier is collaborating with a manufacturer of air driers to solve airline moisture problems causing machinery downtime, production losses and premature plant failure.

Compressed air and fluid process systems specialists, Thorite, have launched the Autumn Edition of their highly comprehensive 'Air Power special offers' publication.
The first stage of the remedy is a free on-site Dewpoint Test, which provides a detailed assessment of the compressed air system's condition at the point of use.
If the system contains damaging moisture the second stage of the remedy can be implemented, in the form of a low cost Refrigerated Air Drier from SMC.
Designed to give a dewpoint of between 3 and 10 deg C, SMC's Refrigerated Air Dryers range in capacity from 7ft3/min to 388ft3/min, providing a model to suit every need, said Thorite to manufacturingtalk.
In addition to saving industrial users thousands of pounds in lost production they also ensure compressed air quality to class 4, 5 or 6, necessary to achieve ISO 8573.1.
