Price increased again for carbon flat
steel
With the market having accepted the price increases of EUR30 to EUR40/t ThyssenKrupp Stahl AG will be raising prices for all flat products by another EUR30/t for deliveries from July 1.
With the market having accepted the price increases of EUR30 to EUR40/t (depending on product form) introduced for carbon steel flat products in the 2nd quarter 2002, ThyssenKrupp Stahl AG will be raising prices for all flat products by another EUR30/t for deliveries from July 1, 2002 The aim is to offset in part the price decreases and cost increases that have taken place since the beginning of 2001
Steel demand has been recovering since the beginning of this year, and production cutbacks at ThyssenKrupp Stahl and other European steel companies have contributed to a stabilization of the market.
The conditions for the market accepting the planned price increase are good.
Orders based on the new prices have already been received for the 3rd quarter 2002.
