Flow indicators/totalisers are
cost-effective
A range of flow indicators and totalisers are cost-effective microprocessor based electronics modules designed for use with pulse or frequency inputs from one (or two) flow sensors.
The Metra-flo range of flow indicators and totalisers are cost-effective microprocessor based electronics modules designed for use with pulse or frequency inputs from one (or two) flow sensors Battery or DC powered (8-24V) the units typically have an 8 digit multifunction LCD in a high impact IP67 glass reinforced nylon housing suitable for wall or sensor mounting, in harsh industrial or marine environments

Website explains how to apply flowmeters
UK based Flowmeter manufacturer has launched a really user friendly website, to provide full information on a standard range of Oval gear, positive displacement, turbine and Pelton wheel flow meters.
Fully programmable in engineering units, the display presents flow rate, re-settable total or accumulated total, using up to 3 decimal places.
While providing a useful local flow indication for monitoring fuel consumption, deliveries, cooling flows etc, the unit has several specialized functions that can be used for the most demanding process flow measurements.
Two pre-set flow switch points are programmable, providing external alarm functions via an FET transistor output, and a local alarm display indication.

A new digital tension controller is claimed to be one of the most comprehensive tension control systems currently available
An analogue output proportional to flow, or a scaled pulse output, provide on-site signal conditioning for remote metering or control.
The flow calibration can use a ten-point linearization for accurate metering from non-linear sensors, and the wide meter k-factor range available using a floating decimal point during data entry, ensures the unit is suitable for most types and sizes of flow sensor.
The dual input function allows measurements from two sensors to be shown as sum, difference or ratio measurements, for monitoring of fuel consumption using flow and return lines, for leakage detection, loss monitoring or dual supply lines, for example for monitoring total fuel oil consumption in twin boiler installations.
Advanced power handling techniques and display function selection ensure a long battery life with the self powered units.
Within the Metra-flo range, the lowest cost model, the Metra-Count, provides a flow totaliser function, with a front panel re-settable five digit main display, and a smaller 8 digit accumulated totaliser display which can only be reset by using a security code.
The Metra-View offers the same totaliser and pulse retransmission functions plus an added flow rate display option.
Metra-Smart adds flow alarm and dual sensor capabilities, plus analogue flow rate retransmission.
The Metra-Batch unit has been specifically designed for two stage batch control with over-run compensation for repeated filling operations, and accumulated total indication.
Two batch relay control outputs are provided, and front panel controls provide manual start, stop and reset functions.
The Metra-Batch has no analogue flow rate indication and is powered externally using an 8-24V DC regulated supply.
Metra-flo units are compatible with all the positive displacement, turbine and insertion turbine flow sensors manufactured by Titan Enterprises.
Metra-flo indicators are suitable for use with any flow sensor that provides a pulse or frequency output, such as a reed switch contact closure, Hall effect sensor, voltage pulse or Namur proximity detector.
Magnetic pick-up coil signals can be monitored directly, when the outputs are above 20mV peak to peak.
The maximum input frequency depends on the sensor type used, up to 5kHz.
The minimum input frequency that can be indicated as a flow rate is 2Hz when working with an internal battery, or 0.2Hz when working using external power.
Instruments supplied with a sensor or where the flow parameters are supplied at the time of order will be factory programmed for the application using the parameters supplied by the customer. Request a free brochure from Titan Enterprises ...
