Trident Demonstrate Manufacturing Capability
The capabilities of Trident's design and manufacturing facility will be further demonstrated at this year's In-Store Show at Earls Court from 13th-15th June 2006.
By replacing traditional cold cathode fluorescent tubes, the low power white LED backlights enable greater reliability and a wider operating temperature range, as well as reducing EMI and component count since no high voltage inverter is required.
The enhanced black and white film STN display is manufactured using straight TCP tape carrier package to deliver a cost-effective solution with naturally high brightness and contrast.
The new modules are electrically and mechanically compatible with the existing Hitachi LMG7520 and LMG7525 monochrome display modules, also available from Trident.
The same mounting holes and mechanical outline dimensions have been maintained to provide customers with an easy upgrade path.
The new display modules offer an improved operating temperature range of -20 deg C to + 70 deg C, and enhanced optical performance in a robust, compact and lightweight module.
The new modules are available in transmissive or transflective modes, and deliver a maximum light output of 120 cd/m 2 in transmissive mode.
Both modules are fully compliant with the Reduction of Hazardous Substances (ROHS) directive.
