Cable winding machine switches instantly
A new winding machine, fitted with a standard variable speed drive, can switch instantly between coiling up and paying out without imparting any extraneous tension to the cable.
Measuring just 72x130x100mm, the Tosvert VF-nC1 not only sets new standards for size, the design saves further space because the units can be installed side-by-side as cabling is from the top and bottom of the units.
Users can choose between wall and DIN rail mounting.
The process of installation is simplified by the provision of screw clamp terminals for the mains power, and the VF-nC1 has been carefully designed so that it can be swapped out with an electromechanical motor starter to upgrade a fixed speed system.

Full digital set-up on tension control system
A new digital tension controller is claimed to be one of the most comprehensive tension control systems currently available
Commissioning and operation are as simple as installation.
Setting up the five basic operating parameters via the six buttons plus potentiometer on the front panel will cover the requirements of 90 percent or more of all application.
The VF-nC1 is equally suitable for more complex programming, with set up being menu driven via the display above the buttons.
A software wizard function simplify programming still further.
All parameters are lockable to secure the drive against unauthorised tampering and resetting.
The advanced motor control software at the heart of the VF-nC1 coupled with flux vector operation ensures cutting edge performance, with 150 percent torque at start up and frequency control over the full 0-200Hz range.
The carrier frequency is adjustable up to 16kHz so that audible noise can be tuned out, a significant feature for applications in non-industrial environments where noise is highly undesirable.
All models have PI (proportional-integral) control as standard for optimised performance in pump and fan applications, plus a serial communications port for network interconnection as standard.
Some of the features that make the VF-nC1stand out include multiple pre-set speeds, DC injection for maximum control at start up, built-in high performance Class B RFI filter, choice of two or three wire control, slip and IR compensation and overload/trip out logging.
The VF-nC1 is available in 0.1-2.2kW ratings, 100V or 200V and in single or three phase formats.
OEMs addressing export markets will note that it meets all the relevant major standards in all geographic regions, including UL, CSA, CE and C-tick.
