Introducing the only Fabric-Resident Solution to Ensure Recoverable Data at Any Scale

Topio, the leading provider of enterprise software for business critical data replication and recovery, announced Topio Data Protection Suite (TDPS) Fabric Edition By taking advantage of unique capabilities provided by the Cisco MDS 9000 Series SANTap Service, TDPS Fabric Edition enables companies to consolidate, simplify and manage replication services from their storage area networks - eliminating the requirement for replication software on application servers

With this announcement, Topio is delivering the only solution in the industry today that allows replication from any number of switches and locations in the fabric, while maintaining a 100% consistent image of production data at the target site.

This unique capability allows customers to ensure recoverability of business critical data as they scale across large SAN environments.

"Our customers have told us they need to deploy replication in the fabric wherever I/O load or growth requirements dictate," said Yoram Novick, President and CEO of Topio.

"With other solutions, data consistency is limited to individual replication appliances or appliance clusters, requiring that you sacrifice scalability to maintain recoverability".

"We are running TDPS in a Cisco MDS 9000 storage environment and are very impressed," said Ted Byrne, Managing Director of Network Disaster Recovery Limited, a leading supplier of multi-platform disaster recovery services in the UK.

"The Topio-Cisco combination is a powerful extension to our operational capabilities, giving NDR more flexibility in delivering bullet-proof recovery services while driving down costs".

"The Cisco SANTap Service allows 3rd-party storage applications to provide data continuity and data protection, without any of the traditional issues associated with deploying devices in the data-path," said Ed Chapman, Cisco senior director of product management.

"Applications such as the Topio Data Protection Suite Fabric Edition that take advantage of the SANTap service can provide their customers with best-in-class solutions to consolidate, simplify and manage replication".
