TDPS is available to IBM Global Services customers immediately.

Redenvelope selects Topio for data protection
Topio has announced that RedEnvelope has selected Topio's Data Protection Suite to help it protect critical customer data.
With an ability to support both short and long distance replication over IP-based networks, the software-based TDPS is a flexible solution that exploits and preserves existing investment while not limiting future IT infrastructure decisions.
"This agreement offers IBM's enterprise customers new business continuity options" said Yoram Novick, founder and CEO of Topio.
"The flexibility of the Topio software-based solution that supports heterogeneous servers and storage over any distance allows replicated solutions to be more widely deployed within a corporation, translating directly to improved enterprise data recoverability and lower Total Cost of Ownership".
"The Topio solution expands the portfolio of IBM BCRS solutions and enables rapid recovery for Open Systems customers for a dramatically lower cost and without disrupting the customer production environment", said Avner Avigad, manager of IBM Business Continuity and Recovery Services.
Over the past year, Topio and IBM Global Services have been working closely together to create business continuity service offerings, and this agreement represents an expansion of the existing relationship between the two partners.
IBM Global Services has already installed TDPS in production at an IBM Global Services service provider site, and will be offering business continuity services for the European market based on TDPS later this quarter.
IBM Global Services is the latest channel partner to join with Topio to deliver improved data recoverability capabilities to the enterprise market.
Topio has a strong channel program focused on partnerships with key players that have already established credibility in providing mission-critical storage solutions to enterprise customers.
"The addition of IBM Global Services, the world's largest integration services provider, to the Topio Partner Program is a strong validation of Topio's vision and solutions capabilities," said Boaz Palgi, Topio's Director EMEA.
