Due to the extremely stable clamping, the newly designed dimple FX105 insert achieves rough turning of grey cast iron and nodular grey cast iron at 600 - 900m/min cutting speeds.

The well proven high performance cutting of cast iron materials with FX105 gets a new dimension by a simple modification of the insert Due to the extremely stable clamping the newly designed dimple insert achieves additional performance in rough turning of grey cast iron and nodular grey cast iron

High performance cutting can be carried out at high cutting speeds of 600 to 900 m/min, with feedrates of 0.3 to 0.6 mm/rev, guarantee stable and effective machining.

Decisive factor often is the machine power.

Toshiba Tungaloy has modified the mechanical and physical characteristics of silicon nitride based ceramics with the newly developed CX710.

This new cutting material has a higher thermal conductivity and improved wear resistance than conventional ceramics and it's thus extremely suitable for continuous cutting at high cutting speeds.
