Appointed as Area Sales Manager for the Midlands operation of Traub Heckert UK, John Lown previously held the post of sales manager at Mikron (Birmingham).

Appointed as Area Sales Manager for the Midlands operation of Traub Heckert UK, John Lown who previously held the posts of sales manager at Mikron (Birmingham) and sales director at Derek Robinson Machine Tools of Leicester, brings a wealth of experience to the Traub Heckert product portfolio John, who progressed from being a toolmaker to toolroom foreman and then production engineer before joining Bridgeport in 1980, left the position of regional manager in 1987 to join Derek Robinson where he rose to sales director

In 1999 he joined Mikron Birmingham as northern sales manager.

As managing director Paul Maynard maintains: "John Lown's background across the toolmaking and production areas of industry and the ability to negotiate at all management levels complements our sales operation.

His product knowledge and ability to form strong customer support relationships is what is required in difficult trading conditions." John Lown will represent the complete Traub Heckert UK range of equipment including the Traub, DMT and Pinacho range of lathes, Traub mill/turn centres, OPS and Hermle up to five axis vertical machining centres, Heckert horizontal machining centres, Durr washing equipment and Brierley multi-axis drill grinding machines.
