are faster
A vertical carousel storage and retrieval stock control system has been introduced to speed deliveries of power transmission and conveyor products and improve customer service.
An independent UK manufacturer and supplier of power transmission and conveying products, Transdev, has installed six automated storage and retrieval systems to streamline stock control and parts handling The company's increasing product line now includes geared motors and gearboxes in addition to belting, chain and engineering plastics

Controlled by inventory and space management software linked to Transdev's MRP system, each vertical carousel is densely packed with automated trays containing stock products.
