Deep-throat punch press chosen for speed
Mansfield-Pollard and Co has ordered a Trumatic 5000-1600, the first 'deep-throat' version of this award-winning CNC punch-press to be sold in the UK
Mansfield-Pollard and Co, the Bradford-based manufacturer of air-handling and ventilation equipment, took advantage of a visit to the recent Metalworking 2002 exhibition at the NEC to order a Trumatic 5000-1600, the first 'deep-throat' version of this award-winning CNC punch-press to be sold in the UK Works Director Bob Hill confirms that, because of the wide range and bespoke nature of their work, they needed the flexibility offered by a 'single-head' machine, and he particularly liked one in which all the tools used could be rotated

Palletisation and latest control and diagnostics systems enable laser profiling system to cut dumper truck parts under 'lights out' conditions.
An important feature of their work is the very large sized panels that they use, and in this respect the machine's open-throated design and large working area enables the easy manual handling of their large sheets - without the need for pre-cutting.
The machine's ability to work 3 x 1.5 metre sheets without even repositioning contributes to faster machine cycle times, and this was perhaps the most important reason for Mansfield-Pollard's decision.
In Bob Hill's words, "The Trumatic 5000 was simply the fastest machine available".
It's flexibility, large working range, and speed of operation made the Trumatic 5000-1600 the natural choice for Mansfield-Pollard; enabling them to keep ahead in the fast moving field of air-movement. Request a free brochure from Trumpf ...
