Software makes sheet metal processing
transparent
Software that makes sheet metal processing transparent has wide-ranging communications, PPS and programming, machine controlling and storage systems and provides feedback messages.

Two laser heads are three times better than one
In theory a twin-head laser profiler produces double the output of a 'normal' single-head machine.
Except in this case, it is around three times as productive!
It is becoming increasingly important for companies to know at one glance which machine and manufacturing orders exist and what their current status is.
With ToPs 1000, Trumpf offers its customers a software solution that makes sheet metal processing transparent.
ToPs 1000 can be used for planning and controlling all these orders.

Laser and punch boost switchgear output
The bottom line at Lucy Switchgear is that one laser and one punch have enabled the company to produce 10,000 parts/week, compared with some 6,000 parts/week from the old two-punch facility.
This software has wide-ranging communication possibilities and is equipped with PPS and programming systems, machine controlling and storage systems.
Automatic machine feedback messages (MDE/BDE, piece times etc) are available as are messages from the manual feedback systems.
Planning and controlling all work steps in sheet metal processing as well as timing production orders based on the individual workstation capacities will be possible with further updates to ToPs 1000.
* For small and large sheet metal processing shops - ToPs 1000 modular design offers users the option of adapting the softwares range of features to the individual requirements of a particular operation.
Even companies with only one laser or punching machine can benefit from ToPs 1000.
The 'smallest solution' offered by ToPs 1000 - the 'Quickjob' module - has comprehensive functions for optimally controlling the processes on the individual machines.
Quickjob enables production orders to be created manually simply and quickly or to be loaded automatically via interfaces from a superior order/PPS/ERP system into the ToPs 1000 order pool.
Since ToPs 1000 not only manages individual production orders, but also the related work plans, the status of an order can be viewed in the order pool at any time.
Even when loading a new production order, ToPs 1000 independently manages the material requirements necessary for the order.
Material management can consist of a simple manual raw material management system.
A material management system can even be integrated into the Cell-Server/TC-Cell storage management systems.
From the production orders of the order pool, a group order is generated either automatically or manually.
The subsequent nesting and NC block building is generated in the background using the already well-known programming systems ToPs 100 and ToPs 300.
ToPs 1000 displays the results of the programming systems when the user requests them.
The nesting results are reported back to the ToPs 1000 order pool.
The software then independently updates the quantities and the work step display.
ToPs 1000 communicates optimally with the Trumpf machines.
The software can automatically control and remotely monitor the machines as well as process MDE-/BDE and piece time feedback messages.
The software is also able to integrate machines produced by other manufacturers and manual process steps.
Furthermore, the program manages processed sheets.
Using a graphic parts separation dialog, the program can direct the operator when separating the parts.
Overview of capacity - laser and punching machines isnt all, however.
Further ToPs 1000 modules will be able to manage all necessary work steps for parts production, such as attaching bolts, bending, welding or coating.
In the end, customers themselves will decide which work steps will be controlled using ToPs 1000.
The more there are, the more important it will be to take into consideration the capacity load for the individual workstations.
ToPs 1000 not only displays the capacity load for each workstation, it also provides an overview of the entire capacity plan and schedule for all workstations it manages.
Production shortages and missed deadlines become immediately visible.
ToPs 1000 makes sheet metal processing transparent, ensures short run-through times and helps users meet delivery deadlines.
It informs users at a glance what machines and production orders exist and what their status is.
The answer to inquiries concerning delivery dates is just a few mouse clicks away. Request a free brochure from Trumpf ...
