Last year GBP 3m of orders were confirmed during Trumpf's In-Tech show's six-day run and news has just been released that this year GBP 2.8m of orders were taken.

The parallels between last year's Trumpf In-Tech open house and its 2005 counterpart are marked Last year GBP 3m of orders were confirmed during the show's six-day run and news has just been released that this year GBP 2.8m of orders were taken

These comprised seven laser systems, three press brakes, a tube processing machine and a top-of-the-range punching machine.

They span a range of manufacturing sectors from automotive and electronics to fine limit fabrication and bespoke building products.

However the effect this year's event is expected to have on first quarter orders for 2006 is particularly significant.

Just as in 2004, visitors to In-Tech represented close on 200 companies.

So business is looking very good for Trumpf at the close of this year but as some of these are part of ongoing investment plans, the good news extends into 2006.

"We are not just delighted with the outcome of In-Tech but also the positive feedback our customers gave us on the fortunes of UK manufacturing in general." concluded Trumpf's general manager, Dave Foulks.

"The majority of people who visited us were here with a purpose.

They had projects in the pipeline and were investing in the latest technology to grow their businesses. Request free introductory details about products from Trumpf ...
