Aseptic carton packaging system debuts
in Spain
Tetra Pak has delivered the first Tetra Gemina Aseptics, an aseptic carton packaging system, to Spanish juice producer J Garcia Carrion.

Tetra Gemina Aseptic is the world's first roll-fed gable top shaped package with full aseptic performance for the packaging of both juice and milk-based products.
Consumer research carried out in eight markets shows that the package delivers an attractive design, excellent functionality and product differentiation.
The research also confirms that the package's unique top and distinctive shape combined with easy handling and high pouring performance provides convenience to the end user.
With Tetra Gemina Aseptic, customers and retailers benefit from strong shelf-impact and the advantages of ambient distribution all at a competitive cost.
Tetra Gemina Aseptic is produced on a version of the Tetra Pak A3/Flex - a proven filling machine platform present in over 65 markets around the world.
The full packaging line has been developed to protect customer investment; the design of both the package and the packaging line enables customers to easily change to other Tetra Gemina Aseptic packages to be released in the range.
Adolfo Orive, managing director of Tetra Pak Spain, the first market to introduce the package said: "We've introduced Tetra Gemina Aseptic to bring innovation to the Spanish beverage market.
One of our leading juice producers has adopted the package to differentiate a premium freshly squeezed orange juice.
The package has been received well by both consumers and retailers and has created much interest with other Spanish manufacturers".
