To meet demands for larger fast prototyped parts, and larger batches, a subcontractor has installed what is believed to be the world's largest laser sintering machine.

After weeks of anticipation, the world's largest laser sintering machine, the EOS P700, has today been installed at the Rapid Prototyping facility of 3T RPD in Newbury, Berkshire This latest acquisition was driven by customer demand on two fronts; firstly, the ever increasing size of parts that customers are requesting and secondly, the steadily increasing batch sizes that are being sought

* Increased build speed using Twin Laser technology.

* Most parts can be built in a single piece.

* Build volume up to 700 x 380 x 580mm.

* Minimal jointing on large components.

* Combining functionality and aesthetics.

* Rapid Manufacturing - batch production.

Tim Plunkett, CEO at 3T stated "This latest acquisition further consolidates our commitment to the Rapid Prototyping industry.
