3T RPD's prototype components are being used every night by presenters on the ITN News Using their Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) technology, 3T produced the housings for the Receive and Transmit (RAT) wireless hand control for Autoscript

Autoscript produce a range of wireless teleprompting systems for the broadcast industry, giving the producer of television programmes new freedom for shooting in the 'virtual studio' environment, whilst opening new possibilities to conventional studio production.

Launched last year, the RAT device has a range of 30m (90ft) with 10 user selectable channels, and works in the license-free waveband.

Designed to make the life of the presenter as stress free as possible, it gives them the freedom to move the script forward and back at their own desired pace, or go to "top of rundown".

SLS gives a textured surface to components, and this is particularly liked by presenters as it gives them a solid grasp of the hand control unit.

Each presenter has their own RAT unit, and 3T are now adding a serial number to every SLS assembly they produce so that they can be personalised to the individual.

Brian Larter, Managing Director of Autoscript says "The Laser Sintering and forming process has given Autoscript the ability to modify the design of the RAT, as the product has evolved.

At Autoscript we are very customer driven and working with a company that is equally responsive, like 3T, is refreshing.".
