LTG Technologies plc has acquired Milton Keynes based Tecnolink for GBP2.5 million and LTG plans to re-brand the new combined business as Imagelinx plc.
Alistair Rae, chief executive of LTG-Imagelinx, said: "Today's announcement marks a dramatic turning point for LTG-Imagelinx.
Tecnolink is the perfect partner for us and helps to accelerate our growth plans.
I am delighted that Eamonn Blaney, managing director of Tecnolink, will join the management team of LTG's subsidiary, Imagelinx UK.
We are also intent on keeping our presence in Milton Keynes.
LTG is a UK packaging design implementation company and is AIM listed.
Its technology and equipment is claimed to allow companies to reproduce their branding exactly on any surface and in any production facility.
That capability provides consistency in packaging, which is a key success component for global consumer brands, added the company.
Changes to brand specifications can be rolled out to suppliers globally and simultaneously to improve speed to market capabilities.
LTGs most recent success has been its appointment by Danone.
Tecnolink is an artwork and reprographics company and it offers the same services as Imagelinx but is predominantly focused on the United Kingdom and Eire.
Imagelinx offers Tecnolink and its clients a global systems platform and a global presence, which will enable further extension of the service that Tecnolink provides to its clients, added the company.
Finalists in the 2006 Management Today and Unisys Service Excellence Awards, the company's major clients include Guinness, part of the Diageo Group, Carlsberg, Kerry and Rexam, the packaging group.
Continued Rae: "We have bold ambitions.
We have world beating technology and combining the strengths of LTG and Tecnolink in to Imagelinx gives us real critical mass to become a dominant force in the market.
Our business is straightforward; we do what it says on the tin - but better than anyone else.
