Machining subcontractor gets ISO accreditation

An Advanced Engineering (Driffield) product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team May 15, 2009

Advanced Engineering has achieved ISO 9001 - an internationally recognised quality standard.

To be an approved supplier to major international companies, ISO accreditation is an essential tool.

Advanced Engineering produces a wide range of machined products on CNC lathes and CNC milling machines for a variety of industries such as handrail parts for buses, hose-end fittings for air-brake systems on tractors and hydraulic adaptors used on construction machinery.

In addition, it manufactures hydraulic hoses at its site in Kirkburn, where it also stocks a large range of hydraulic components.

Being ISO accredited has meant continual audits of the processes and production methods used at Advanced Engineering.

A quality manual has been developed to ensure every step of the process from the customer's initial enquiry through to delivery of the end product is now detailed.

This guarantees a consistent standard whether the company is manufacturing one or 1,000 hose-end fittings.
