Over 23,000 visits were registered at Lamiera, the exhibition dedicated to the sheet metal forming technologies and over 1,000 foreign visitors representing 70 countries were recorded Over 23,000 visits were registered at Lamiera, the exhibition dedicated to the metal forming technologies which launched its thirteenth event in Bologna, from 10 to 13 May

Organized by CEU-Centro Esposizioni UCIMU and promoted by UCIMU-Sistemi per Produrre, the Association of Italian machine tools, robots and automation manufacturers, Lamiera presented, on a net surface of more than 25,500m2, the offer of 525 exhibiting companies, representing the most advanced and qualified production of the sector.

Over 1,000 foreign visitors representing 70 countries were recorded, which confirms the interest gained by the exhibition and by the Italian market among users all over the world.

Particularly numerous were the operators from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Slovenia, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and Venezuela.

A solid number of visitors also composed the delegations from Saudi Arabia, Australia, Brazil, Japan, Great Britain and Israel.

The provenience of the Italian visitors reflects the distribution of the national manufacturing industry: 75% from the North, 15% from central Italy and 10% from the South and the Islands.

About 250 operators of the sector took part in the rich conference programme that accompanied Lamiera for the whole exhibition.

A great success of public was also attained by Lambda which, for this event 2006, was dedicated to the presentation of a production line for the realization of a garden barbecue.

Over 3,000 were the visitors of the 'laboratory of the future'.

Lamiera reaffirmed its role as an appointment of real interest even for the about 600 students (of high schools and universities), who visited the exhibition halls during the event.

Organized by UCIMU in co-operation with ICE, the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade, 400 bilateral meetings registered the participation of some forty Italian exhibitors and over twenty foreign users coming from the main industrialized countries.

The next edition of Lamiera is scheduled to take place in May 2008.

Information and details concerning Lamiera 2006 are available on the exhibition site, www.lamiera.net, by which 5.000 users were able to pre-register, obtaining a permanent free-admission ticket for the show.
