Next year's Italian sheet metal working and manufacturing exhibition will feature a conference overviewing the latest trends research, technological development and innovation.
Well-established as one of the most qualified international trade shows for the manufacturing sector of metal forming machines, the 14th LAMIERA will ltake place in the exhibition complex of Fiera di Bologna, Italy, May 14-17, 2008 Besides providing an exhaustive overview of the world's suppliers, the exhibition will present a new version of Lambda, centred on 'RTDI-in-Forming: research, technological development and innovation', and will give space to the debate of the topical subjects of greatest interest for the sector

Some 400 companies to exhibit at Lamiera
Some 400 companies have registered for stands at the forthcoming Italian sheet metal work and fabrication show, Lamiera 2006, from Europe, Middle east and the USA.
It is promoted by UCIMU-Sistemi per Produrre, the Italian Machine Tools, Robots and Automation Manufacturers' Association.
The 2008 edition of this trade show is organized by CEU-Centro Espozioni and UCIMU will thus be able to attract the attention of the worldwide user-industry on its exhibitors, proposing itself as an opportunity not to be missed to establish new, more profitable, technical-commercial relations.
In 2006, LAMIERA was visited by 23,215, 6% of whom came to Bologna from 71 countries: European Community, non-EU European countries, Americas, Africa, Middle East and Asia.

This year's Italian machine tool and production equipment show - the Bi-Mu - will take place in Milan's new exhibition centre located on the outskirts of the city.
Italian Bi-Mu machine tool show scheduled
Italy's 25th Bi-Mu machine tool and production equipment show includes the latest developments in welding, assembling, dies and moulds and is supported by a conference.
Production of machinery (37.6%), metal constructions (26.6%) and various mechanics (22.5%) resulted to be the most represented operational fields before automotive (6.5%), electrical household appliances (3.9%), energy (1.9%) and aeronautics (1%).
LAMIERA 2006 attracted 528 enterprises requiring 25,549m2 exhibition space.
Besides the large Italian attendance, a particularly strengthened exhibitors' participation came from Germany (76 exhibitors), Switzerland (19), USA (18), Great Britain (11), Holland (11) and France (10).
Among the foreign companies (27% of the total), there were also exhibitors from Japan, Turkey.
Spain, Finland, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, China, Denmark, Ireland, Israel, Slovenia, South Korea and Sweden.
Among the exhibited products, the most numerous turned out to be: sheet metal cutting machines, sheet metal forming machines, welding and oxygen-cutting machines, equipment and materials, presses, bar-, section- and pipes-processing machines, services for enterprises, sheet metal shearing and punching machines and robots.
The promotion of the fourteenth edition of LAMIERA will be set out in a series of initiatives that, developing synergically, will be able to draw the interest of the whole universe of metal forming machines' end-users.
In particular, the advertising campaign will be developed by insertions and advertising editorial articles in the most qualified Italian and foreign specialized trade magazines of the sector, starting from the end of 2007.
Journalists of the most important publishers will be visiting LAMIERA, as well as the operators from the chief user-countries, invited to take part in targeted meetings with Italian exhibitors as guests of UCIMU-Sistemi per Produrre and ICE (Italian Institute for Foreign Trade).
Pre-registration, which is possible through the exhibition website (www.lamiera.net), will enable visitors to receive a free permanent entrance card according to the modalities described online.
The application forms, to be sent to the organizers within 16 November 2007, are available on the website www.lamiera.net, together with the participation modalities.
Financing plans for participation costs at extremely favourable rates are available (www.probest.it) for Italian exhibitors.
