Datronik offers short-wavelength laser systems

A Datronik Lasers Rolf Dachs product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Nov 25, 2009

Datronik has expanded its product range to include short-wavelength laser systems, such as UV and green Nd:Yag, for forgery-proof special marking and sub-surface engraving.

Applications include: the engraving of Datamatrix and barcodes in glass, float glass, acrylic glass, goggles and lamps; the engraving of white plastics beneath the surface; the marking of plastic housings of semiconductor chips; the conversion of titanium dioxide in titanium oxide; and fine marking and carving of photovoltaic modules.

The advantages of such visible and invisible markings and engravings are clear, according to Datronik.

They include: traceability; absolute security to prevent product piracy; sharp lettering; no damage to the material surface; and subsequent coating of products is possible.
