"We believe this report echoes what we are hearing from our customers and underscores the importance of our mantra to 'never let a customer fail.'" According to Gartner, leaders are vendors who are performing well today and have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market.
The evaluation process involved the assessment of companies' viability; the features and functions of their products; the service and support available after products are sold; and their core technology.
In addition, Gartner considered each firm's ability to support the entire lifecycle process, including the areas of strategy, planning, management and execution.
