A leading packaging specialist is targeting the non-food sector with its latest blister packaging machine that integrates all operations necessary into one automatic line.

Leading packaging specialist Ulma Packaging, is targeting the non-food sector with its latest machine which has just been launched into the UK The Univers blister packaging machine has been a great success for Ulma in mainland Europe and the USA and Ulma is confident of repeating that success in the UK

With a host of impressive features the Univers is suitable for a wide range of products including light bulbs, brushes and combs, pencils, toothbrushes, toys - anything in fact that needs excellent retail display, product security and maximum product visibility.

Ulma has already enjoyed enormous success in the UK food sector in recent years and believes the Univers is one of the machines which will strengthen its presence in the non food sector.

It integrates all the operations necessary for blister packing processing into one automatic line, cutting down on time and cost, and increasing efficiency.

The machine can operate with a variety of forming tools and allows quick and easy tooling changes without the need for hand tools.

This design feature means that users can achieve high productivity even when frequent blister size changes are required.

As with all Ulma equipment, the Univers is simple to operate and allows easy access to all components.

It is designed from stainless steel, making it a durable choice for busy production environments.

It also has a fully programmable automatic control system, and a rotating touch screen display and control panel.

Ulma managing director Derek Paterson is confident that the Univers will make a huge impact on the non-food packaging sector.

He says: "This is an excellent machine with a host of features making it ideal for anyone wanting to produce high quality blister packs.

It has been very successful on the continent and we are confident that we will repeat that success in the UK.

It has been specially designed to ensure that customers can achieve high productivity and the minimum of downtime, even when frequent tool changes are necessary.

"Blister packs allow enhanced in-store presentation of many products, typically personal care items, household products and toys while ensuring the integrity of the product, which is what consumers demand.

And we can supply an optional hole punching system for hanging products to allow retailers to create eye-catching displays," Paterson continued.

In addition to the standard machine, the Univers also comes with a wide range of optional devices, ensuring that there is a machine suitable for every need.
