Machine combines form, fill seal and vacuum shrink
Innovative machine designed for the fresh meat and cheese markets combines horizontal form, fill seal technology with vacuum shrink packaging.
When Eurilait needed to replace existing equipment they had some very specific requirements in mind.
In particular they needed a machine that was versatile enough to produce a wide variety of shapes, sizes and weights of packs.
Another key requirement was that the machine needed to be reliable, robust and fast enough to cope with packing up to three million packs a year.
And the third key requirement was a machine that was quiet in operation, so as not to add unnecessary noise in the workplace.
On all three counts the Ulma Nevada came out on top.
Eurilait managing director Howard Newmarch said: "We looked at a number of machines before deciding on the Ulma Nevada." The Nevada offers a number of key features which have made it a popular choice within the food industry.
Its modular design allows great flexibility and the machine design can be easily adapted to meet additional applications.
In addition, as well as being robust, easy to use and reliable, it has been designed to meet the most stringent industry hygiene standards.
Mr Newmarch also explained that he felt Ulma staff were very responsive to what he needed, and were happy to help carry out shelf life tests before he committed to the purchase, to make sure the machine was able to do exactly what he needed.
Ulma's business manager Jerry Fletcher said: "With Eurilait's wide range of products being packed, shelf life trials were essential before they went ahead with the purchase.
It is part of our philosophy to work with customers closely to ensure we provide the best solution.".
