Breda O'Driscoll, managing director of Ultrasonic Scientific, explains: "Customers currently working with FTIR, UV-VIS, thermal analysis, rheology, particle analysis, NMR spectrometry and other material characterization techniques have immediately seen the benefits of the innovative new technology that we have brought to market last year.

Sales of the HR-US into Europe and USA during Year One have outperformed the market trends, being typically ahead of the analytical industry line for 2002.

In an increasingly pressured environment, instruments such as the HR-US have to offer tangible benefits to customers to justify the investment.

In Europe and the USA, our customers are acknowledging that both our HR-US 101 launched in 2002 and its successor the HR-102 which is launched on our stand this year, and the new HR-US HTP, all meet the needs of the scientist first and foremost by providing a powerful analysis technique with high resolution, high sensitivity, small sample volumes, fast analysis and easy handling.".
