Universal Flow Monitors has introduced the L Series viscosity-insensitive flow meters with +/- 5 percent accuracy for lubrication oils with a viscosity range between 40 and 200 centipoise.

Universal Flow Monitors has introduced the L Series viscosity-insensitive flow meters that assure delivery of circulating lubrication oil to bearings in machining, mining and steelmaking applications These piston-style flow meters maintain +/- 5 percent accuracy for lubrication oils with a viscosity range between 40 and 200 centipoise

Although operating in the 40 - 200 CP viscosity range is standard, a meter can be optimised for specific viscosities within that range.

The viscosity-insensitive L Series meters can monitor lube oil flow rates from 2 to 20 gallons per minute (7.6 to 75.7 liters per minute).

The meters monitor rate of oil flow, provide flow rate indication to assist in problem diagnosis, and respond immediately if flow goes too low.

L Series meters from Universal Flow Monitors are mechanical units that require no power.

They include a field-adjustable, high-amperage microswitch that can be wired to trigger equipment shutdown for protection against bearing damage.

The L Series flow meters are Type 4 weatherproof units with wetted parts of aluminum, brass, stainless steel and Viton fluorocarbon elastomer.

The meters accommodate maximum ambient temperatures of 150 degrees F (65 degrees C), maximum fluid temperatures of 200 degrees F (93 degrees C) and maximum pressure to 500 PSI (35 Bar).

L Series flow meters are easy to install, operate and maintain.

They mount in any orientation, with no straight pipe runs required.

The meters have CSA and CE ratings.

NIST traceable calibration is available.
