More vision companies added to UKIVA

Expanding imaging for industry and science
The UK Industrial Vision Association is expanding its scope of activity to actively encourage companies involved in scientific imaging applications to become members.
In addition, they are UK Distributor for the complete range of machine vision components offered by Vision and Control .
The company also offers comprehensive training on all aspects of machine vision.
FS Systems are active in a wide variety of industrial sectors including automation, robotics, automotive, semiconductor, mechanical engineering glass and plastics.
V-viz specialises in the design, supply and integration of machine vision and traceability solutions.
The company is the exclusive 'value added integrator' of RVSI Acuity CiMatrix and can offer a broad range of smart camera and PC based vision and 2D Data Matrix products for both low volume and high speed inline applications.
In addition to this V-viz has developed its own proprietary range of solutions for OCR/OCV applications.
To complement these products inline, V-viz is a certified integrator partner of UGS Tecnomatix and provides MES shop floor traceability.
V-viz is involved in supplying solutions to many industrial sectors including aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, electronics, food and beverage, general engineering, medical device, pharmaceutical, semi-conductor and logistical service industries.
Data Translation was a member of UKIVA from 1998-2003.
The company's industrial vision systems are based around DT Vision Foundry, its Windows-based software package for use in dynamic machine vision and automated industrial imaging applications.
The company is increasingly focusing on the supply of complete vision systems and operates in a wide variety of sectors including pharmaceuticals, automotive, manufacturing, packaging and printing, medical electronics and photographic.
When asked why Data Translation had decided to rejoin the UKIVA, UK sales manager, Neil Chapman, said: "I am looking at ways of increasing our profile in all business areas.
In the case of industrial vision products, I think the UKIVA will be a useful source of potential customers for us.
Our knowledge and experience of vision systems continues to grow and I am sure that there are people who we are not reaching at the moment, so we need to take every opportunity to make them aware of us.".
