Course aimed at removing balancing
'mystique'

Keen to dispel the perception of dynamic balancing as a 'black art', a day-long, introductory-level course gives a fundamental appreciation of the principles of of balancing.

Universal Balancing has launched a programme of training courses at its Bristol headquarters, designed specifically to dispel the perception of dynamic balancing as a 'black art' The day-long, introductory-level course aims to give engineers and product designers a fundamental appreciation of the principles of balancing

It provides general information on single and multi-plane balancing methods, as well as both vertical and horizontal-axis measurement machines.

In addition, the course explains the suitability of hard or soft-bearing equipment for particular applications.

Priced at GBP 99 + VAT, including refreshments and course notes, the entry-level course is deliberately non-specific to Universal Balancing products; making it ideal for new or existing users of all types of balancing systems.

An intermediate course offers more detailed information on machine setting and operation, along with a detailed appreciation of balancing 'best practice'.

Complementing this is an advanced course, geared primarily to the needs of maintenance personnel, which highlights trouble-shooting, support and remote diagnostics capabilities of Universal's Unibal equipment range.

According to Managing Director, Steve Fowler, "We are keen to sweep away the mystery that seems to surround dynamic balancing.

The introductory course gives a comprehensive overview and practical guide to the subject.

It is also the foundation for the other courses, which will equip customers with the ability to become self-sufficient in terms of their balancing requirements." About Universal Balancing - one of the UK leaders in industrial balancing technology, Bristol-based Universal Balancing offers a complete spectrum of manual, semi and fully-automatic balancing systems, including vertical and horizontal axis, soft or hard bearing equipment.

The company also provides a comprehensive contract balancing service for components ranging from a few grams to several hundred kilograms.
