Universal Balancing's commitment to users' engineering and balancing technology requirements has been endorsed through certification to BS EN ISO 9001: 2000 quality standard.

Universal Balancing's commitment to meeting and exceeding customers' engineering and balancing technology requirements has been endorsed through the company's certification to the new BS EN ISO 9001: 2000 quality standard The achievement puts Universal at the forefront of companies successfully making the transition from ISO 9001: 1994 to the latest standard, ahead of the December deadline imposed by the French-based International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO)

"ISO 9001: 2000 is the most comprehensive quality management certification now available, so we are delighted to have won accreditation at the first attempt," says Universal Balancing's Managing Director, Steve Fowler.

"It has implications across every area of our operations, as the new standard places more emphasis on human resources and training, as well as strategic and organisational planning.

It is therefore more relevant to our day-to-day activities by ensuring the necessary procedures are in place - and being followed - to fully satisfy our customers' product and service requirements." About Universal Balancing - a UK leader in industrial balancing technology, Bristol-based Universal Balancing offers a complete spectrum of manual, semi and fully-automatic balancing systems, including vertical and horizontal axis, soft or hard bearing equipment.

The company also provides a comprehensive contract balancing service for components ranging from a few grams to several hundred kilograms.

In addition, it will design, manufacture and install customised balancing solutions - including work handling and component manipulation modules - as part of high-speed, high-volume automated manufacturing lines. Request free introductory details about products from Universal Balancing ...
