CAD/CAM seminar shows how to work
imported CAD
CAD/CAM seminar will explain and demonstrate efficient techniques to work through the process of core and cavity manufacture from imported CAD data.
Following the recent acquisition of the machining STRATEGIST products by Vero International Software, the CAD/CAM software specialist has joined forces with Mikron Machine Tools and Fraisa tools distributor Jemtech UK to stage a free seminar explaining and demonstrating efficient techniques to work through the process of core and cavity manufacture from imported CAD data Being held on November 27th at Mikron's Birmingham showroom, the live and highly practical demonstration shows the cycle of how an imported CAD model can quickly progress from stage-to-stage through to the finished cavity cut on a Mikron HSM 600 machining centre

The machining STRATEGIST is now an integral feature with Vero's VISI-Series CAD/CAM software solution and has been developed to meet changing needs in the industry including the trend towards high speed machining, machining with solid carbide and carbide inserts and for shop-floor programming.
There is also a strong emphasis on ease of use and speed of programming, which perfectly complements the many features within the VISI-Series software.
Delegates at the seminar will learn how to repair and split an imported CAD model, how it can be programmed with High Speed Machining techniques along with an insight into the different methods required to make these processes successful.
From a users perspective, Dave Spears, managing director of Brandauer and Co, a respected Midlands toolmaker, will talk about his experiences in raising funds for investment in new technology, essential for competing in today's tough business environment.
Jemtech will explain how cutting tools should be used for High Speed Machining and what factors should be considered in their selection.
Finally on the day, Mikron will actually cut the cavity designed and programmed in H50 material, while explaining what is important about machine construction and use for successful High Speed Machining.
