To support the latest release of its VISI-Series CAD/CAM and machining STRATEGIST HSM software programmes, Vero International Software has announced a series of customer update days at its Stroud and Nottingham offices "The latest releases have been eagerly anticipated and as we place a very strong emphasis on customer support and service, we find the face-to-face update events invaluable," claims Marc Freebrey, Vero's Product Support Manager

"The events provide the opportunity for free update training and for customers to gain hands-on experience of all the latest features with our technical team on-hand to provide guidance and advice," he adds.

Four, 3 day sessions are planned as follows; 5th - 7th October, Stroud: 12th - 14th October, Nottingham: 19th - 21st October, Stroud and 26th - 28th October, also in Stroud.

Customers wishing to book onto one of the update days should contact Lorraine Gardner, Marketing Assistant on (01453) 732900 or their usual Vero sales contact.

As well as integrating the recently introduced 5-axis machining function into the VISI-Machining module of its VISI-Series CAD/CAM software, in Release 12 there are a range of new and innovative developments.

Also among the new features is an 'Associative dimensions' feature that allows the drawing and dimensions to be automatically updated inside the plot view when the model is modified.

Improvements have also been made to the interfaces to include the ability to open an imported file into the current session.

New features include an integrated DXF/DWG translator, updated IGES export and the introduction of Parasolid V16.

Included in the new developments in machining STRATEGIST are dramatic reductions in file loading speeds, a new Z drive curve option, significant improvements to the machine point reduction function, new features in the drilling function, greatly expanded tool sheets and further developments of the software's compatibility with the VISI-Series software solution.
