Strategic alliance to increase cleaning business

AMA Group - leading manufacturers and suppliers of surface treatment and dry cleaning machines - has formed a strategic alliance with cleaning companies Lindus and Dollmar.

AMA Group - leading manufacturers and suppliers of surface treatment and dry cleaning machines - has formed a strategic alliance with cleaning companies Lindus and Dollmar.

The alliance has led to the creation of a powerful new multinational company called Amalind.

Based in Bologna, Italy, Amalind will manufacture and supply an improved range of surface treatment systems and dry cleaning machines, consolidating and improving the already successful positions of the founding companies.

Amalind will continue to manufacture the leading CS and LM range of totally enclosed metal cleaning machines, produced under the AMA Universal brand and supplied in the UK by Virotec.

CS and LM machines use the most advanced cleaning technology in the world to slash solvent usage, eradicate solvent emissions and produce outstanding results.

The strategic alliance will strengthen the position of Amalind in the surface treatment industry by expanding marketing and production possibilities, by increasing performances of the systems and by enhancing support and service provided to customers and distributors.

Ian Lucas, Virotec's newly appointed business development manager, said: "The strategic alliance and the creation of Amalind is great news for industrial metal cleaning in the UK.
