Smart degreasing machines can be used with vapour, liquid vapour and ultrasonic liquid vapour processes and are suitable for Trichloroethylene, Perchloroethylene, nPb and Methylene Chloride based solvents.
The machines are highly suitable for large, heavy and free draining components.
The Smart system is based on traditional degreasing methods, with vertical immersion into a chamber containing vapour or liquid.
The cleaning action is carried out with controlled conditions within an enclosure.
By sealing the process door between degreasing cycles, Smart machines can achieve 98% reduction in idling solvent emissions compared with equivalent size open top systems.
Solvent consumption can be reduced by as much as 80%.
Ian Lucas, Virotec's business development manager, said: "The Smart range of Multiple Door Systems provides a versatile and compliant replacement for open top degreasing plant.
With abatement fitted, Smart machines can comply with legal emission limits, while optimising production rates at affordable cost." Smart degreasing machines are available in front/top loading and floor loading formats.
Front/top systems can also be retrofitted to the top of suitable existing plant.
There is also a manual option that can be retrofitted to certain types of existing plant using a separate manually operated overhead hoist.
There are 14 size options for vapour cleaning, ranging from component dimensions of 600mm long x 600mm wide x 500mm high to 2,400mm x 900mm x 750mm.
Liquid vapour options range from 600mm x 600mm x 600mm to 2400mm x 1200mm x 1200mm.
Pay loads up to 1000kg can be accommodated.
Virotec will be showcasing the Smart range, together with the AMA Universal range of fully hermetically sealed solvent and aqueous industrial metal cleaning machines at Surface World 2003, NEC Conference Centre, September 16-18.
