Drilling system has very high production
speeds
A redeveloped 3-axis drilling system is characterized by its extremely high production speeds using carbide -tipped drills and higher positioning rates.
Voortman recently redeveloped and improved the V630M drilling system This totally redeveloped 3-axis drilling system is characterized by its extremely high production speeds

System automates beams drilling for SMEs
Drilling system is designed for small and medium steel fabricators to automate the time consuming manual drilling process of beams and are limited by floor space in their workshop.
Platework punching/shearing works unmanned
To automate the production of fittings, an automatic system has the infeed of flat steel from a stock system, as well as sorting of plates, so the punching/shearing system can operate unmanned.
The drilling system is fitted with two horizontal and one vertical drilling unit.
By using servomotors significant increases in production rates are gained in, positioning of the drilling heads, the drilling process itself and the automatic tool changing.
This means that this 'State of the Art' V630M is still faster than before.
The high spindle rotation combined with more motor power at the drilling heads makes it possible to apply carbide tipped drills, due to this the drilling times are considerable shorter.
So it is possible to process more steel in less time with the V630M, this results in a considerable reduction of production costs.
The V630M drilling system is fitted with automatic in feed and out feed system and automatic tool changers.
The in feed and out feed system takes care of the automatic loading of the beams, which have to be processed and the automatic out feed after processing.
All three drilling units of the V630M are fitted with an automatic tool changer each with five positions.
Together with the automatic in and out feed system it enables the system to work independently for a longer period.
By using an integrated length measuring system with feeder rolls the profiles are fast and accurately positioned in the drilling system.
Due to the measuring rolls being integrated in the drilling system the required floor space is minimized.
The measuring rolls make the V630M also very flexible at the in feed and the out feed side of the machine.
The drilling system can easily be combined with a horizontal mitre sawing machine, a numbering unit and/or a beam coping system.
Due to the different technical developments of the machine, the complete Voortman drilling range has also been redeveloped.
So the drilling systems (V603M, V613M and V630M) are of a modular design with all three having the same compact dimensions.
