Hawk - the latest in non-contact measuring systems
Vision Engineering has released a completely new range of metrology systems for industrial non-contact measurement applications.
Vision Engineering was established in 1958, designing and manufacturing stereo inspection microscopes and 3-axis, non-contact measuring systems.
From simple stereo viewers to fully automated measuring solutions, their optical design allows operators to work effectively for longer, increasing productivity.
Hiller's role within Vision Engineering has been to support distributor activity by providing an application development and support service enabling distributors as well as sales managers of export and domestic divisions to win orders with his solutions to specific applications.
One such application was to provide a solution to one of Vision Engineering's distributors for a company conducting research and development in satellite communication.
The sale was dependant on specific requirements being met.
For example, reporting needed to be in a schematic drawing with measurement indicated rather than a 'list-style' report.
Working closely with ACI who supply Vision Engineering's metrology 3D measurement software and digital readouts, Hiller is able provide solutions to most application complications.
Steve Marsh, International Metrology Manager for Vision Engineering explains how Hiller's service has become invaluable.
"Tim has become a valuable member of the Vision Engineering Metrology team".
"His experience has assisted Vision's world-wide sales network, by providing solutions to difficult end user applications, resulting in increased world sales of Hawk and Kestrel optical non-contact measurement systems".
"With Tim on board we can be confident that increasing demands from end users, such as programming, reporting and image capture, can be met regardless of the complexity of the application." Support from Hiller will enable Vision Engineering to continuously accommodate clients' advanced reporting and image capturing requirements for inspection and measurement for quality control processes.
