Visteon Corporation is very proud to have such a strong presence in central eastern Europe, " said Dr Heinz Pfannschmidt, Visteon President, Europe and South America.
"Autopal has been an automotive component supplier to Skoda for headlights and separate brake lights for many years," said Klaus Ziegler, Skoda Auto's purchasing manager.
"A significant investment programme between 1994 and 1998, in injection moulding machines, a new paint shop, vacuum moulding machines and measurement technology, as well as quality optimisation measures, turned Autopal into an extremely high quality supplier, capable of working on additional new projects.
Autopal's hallmarks are high quality products and excellent project work." With more than 4000 employees, Visteon has a strong presence in the Czech republic with Autopal plants located in Novy Jicin, Rychvald and Hluk.
Autopal has a technical centre for lighting development, with multiple testing facilities and a tool and mould shop inside the manufacturing plant.
The plant also produces climate control and engine cooling components.
