Powerful VX hybrid modeler offers even greater design capability

VX Corporation, the pioneering developer of advanced, integrated CAD/CAM solutions for engineers and industrial designers, has added a hot new model morphing toolset to help designers experiment with new organic shapes and breathe new life into old designs VX's new model morphing toolset offers the capability to bend, twist, stretch, pull and push solid or non-solid geometry to enhance a shape

The tools have a variety of inputs using points and blend-to curves with a sophisticated range of blending/fairing controls.

Design creativity will be re-inspired by the possibilities these functions offer.

Subtle changes can give an existing product design a more modern appearance.

When carefully crafted for "metal off" changes, re-tooling costs can be kept to a minimum.

VX hybrid functions also work well with geometry imported from other systems The tools have been carefully integrated into the VX user interface, presenting precision input for professional results.

The toolset gives users complete control of the shape change.

Key faces that should not be changed may be "locked".

Tangency of face edges is held.

Exact points on faces can be selected, lending symmetry control.

Multiple bodies can be morphed by the same action if desired, maintaining existing relationships.

Users may morph by dragging the cursor or inputting precise values, and models may be re-edited at any time via the VX History Manager.

Bob Fischer, VX vice president, sales and marketing said, "Use VX V10 to add panache to an existing brand image without compromising design intent".
